HelloFresh is hiring an Engineering Shift Manager (Supervisor) at its Smart Parc site in Spondon, Derby, working a rotating day/night shift pattern (0600-1800 and 1800-0600). Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of Automation, Reliability and Junior Engineers, driving excellent standards, improving processes and maximizing equipment reliability in one of the UK's fastest-growing food companies.
Responsibilities
- ▹Manage and provide leadership to a team of Automation Engineers, Reliability Engineers and Junior Engineers.
- ▹Coach, guide and mentor at all levels of the shift.
- ▹Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
- ▹Identify opportunities for process automation and improvement to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- ▹Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- ▹Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for spare parts, equipment upgrades and technical support.
- ▹Lead root cause analysis processes and continuous improvement projects.
- ▹Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data and identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
Requirements
- ▹Strong knowledge of automation systems, material handling equipment and warehouse management systems.
- ▹Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role in an automated manufacturing or distribution center environment.
- ▹Strong and evident leadership and people management experience.
- ▹Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- ▹Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- ▹Good understanding of data reporting to the business.
- ▹Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with cross-functional stakeholders.
- ▹Independent right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
- ▹Successful DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
