GetYourGuide is hiring an Engineering Manager for its User Profiles team, whose mission is to make creating and using an account effortless with smooth, trusted sign-up/sign-in and helpful profile surfaces. The team is driving a major modernization of the tech stack with a focus on high-quality AI-first development and scalability. The role combines people leadership with technical problem-solving across services and domains.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Own all hiring and performance management on the engineering side, helping engineers reach their full potential
  • ▹Partner with the Product Manager to shape the roadmap and portfolio allocation
  • ▹Find pragmatic solutions to complex technical challenges spanning multiple services, platforms and domains
  • ▹Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders on strategic initiatives
  • ▹Drive high-impact delivery

Requirements

  • ▹Strong sense of ownership, aligning technical and project plans with stakeholders and team
  • ▹Ability to approach complex topics with an open mind and eye for simplicity
  • ▹Passion for people, supporting and coaching engineers without micromanaging
  • ▹Passion for creating value for customers and the business, applied to roadmap decisions
  • ▹Motivation to work in an international cross-functional environment

Nice to have

  • ▹Experience in a startup environment taking projects from start to finish
  • ▹Experience working in or closely with e-commerce marketplaces
  • ▹Experience operating as a product manager/owner
