A Data Engineer role in HelloFresh's HelloTech organization (Warsaw), within the Global Data Products team, a cross-functional unit of data engineers and analysts. The team establishes a dependable foundation for data-driven decision-making by building foundational data assets and metrics across the organization. This role has no people management responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- ▹Build and maintain complex and scalable ETL pipelines
- ▹Build robust, highly reliable data products using technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, DBT, Spark and Kafka
- ▹Work closely with data producers and software developers
- ▹Collaborate with stakeholders such as Marketing and Product Analytics, aligning business requirements with the roadmap
- ▹Drive data quality and governance
- ▹Review the implementations of multiple teams as a technical expert, continuously improving technical deliverables
Requirements
- ▹Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and ability to design, implement and deliver maintainable, high-quality code
- ▹Proficiency in SQL and the Python stack
- ▹Strong problem-solving acumen
- ▹Strong written and verbal communication
- ▹Meaningful experience using AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) as part of regular workflow
Nice to have
- ▹Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, DBT, Spark and Kafka
- ▹Curiosity about how and why AI tools fail, with habits around verification
