Senior Software Engineer - B2C Services
Back Market is a global marketplace for refurbished devices, and its technology department (the Bureau of Technology) consists of over 30 product teams supported by a Platform group. The B2C Services team is a transversal squad on a mission to revolutionize refurbished tech through the most convenient services, making them affordable, desirable, and the new industry standard. As a Senior Software Engineer, you work in an agile build-it-and-run-it environment with strong ownership across the technical stack.

Responsibilities
- ▹Build, launch, monitor, and support the products the squad owns in an agile build-it-and-run-it environment
- ▹Produce clean, consistent, and well-organized code that delivers seamless user experiences at scale
- ▹Facilitate meaningful discussions around complex issues
- ▹Suggest or make improvements to existing designs and architecture for quarter-bounded projects or mission-critical areas
- ▹Explore technologies with sizable potential impact for the team
- ▹Contribute actively to high-impact chaos mitigation
- ▹Identify and advocate for prioritization of tasks that optimize delivery
Requirements
- ▹Versatile engineer with strong ownership and motivation to take on challenges across the technical stack
- ▹Ability to deliver seamless user experiences at scale
- ▹Ability to produce clean, consistent, and well-organized code
- ▹A good team player who supports colleagues and creates a learning and sharing environment
- ▹Fluent English (joining an international team across US, France, Spain, and Japan)
Nice to have
- ▹Familiarity with the backend stack: Python (FastAPI), SQLAlchemy, Celery, Golang, Django (being phased out)
- ▹Familiarity with the frontend stack: VueJS, TypeScript, Nuxt
- ▹Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, BigQuery, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Datadog, ArgoCD, and CircleCI
