Dataiku is looking for a Data Engineer to join its Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) team. The role is central to delivering data that fuels analytics and data-driven insights for stakeholders across the company, contributing to the data platform that powers centralized analytics, embedded analytics teams, Generative AI engineering, and self-service users. The work is roughly 50% data operations, support and troubleshooting and 50% new development, primarily within a data platform built on Snowflake, Dataiku, and GitHub. This is an internal, non-client-facing role in a high-trust remote environment.
Responsibilities
- ▹Develop engineering expertise within the Dataiku Platform to maintain and develop system integrations, platform automations and configurations
- ▹Develop engineering expertise within Snowflake for data engineering and security/governance features
- ▹Build and maintain Python and SQL data replication and data pipelines on large, complex datasets
- ▹Build and maintain data quality metrics and observability to drive data quality standards
- ▹Troubleshoot data pipelines, platform automations and data access systems
- ▹Design data models for short- and long-term use cases to support data warehouse scalability
- ▹Build and maintain administration systems for monitoring, alerting, access management and platform metrics
- ▹Collaborate closely with Analytics Engineers to provide data and data models for analytical deliverables
- ▹Perform root cause analysis on complex errors to ensure data pipeline availability
- ▹Contribute to the ongoing documentation of internal systems and processes
Requirements
- ▹2+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering / Data Platform Engineering
- ▹Strong technical skills in SQL and Python are a must
- ▹Experience building data models
- ▹Prior experience building and maintaining replication and data pipelines in a cloud data warehouse or data lake environment
- ▹Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- ▹Ability to manage multiple projects and time constraints simultaneously in a high-trust remote environment
- ▹Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including with senior-level stakeholders

- ▹Experience with Dataiku DSS
- ▹Prior experience with Snowflake
- ▹Prior experience with DevOps technologies such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or Jenkins
