Algolia's Dashboard Platform team is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with a heavy focus on infrastructure automation to empower all Algolia developers to ship frontend features to the customer-facing Dashboard at scale. You will work on core Dashboard features and build new services powering the infrastructure platform using Kubernetes, Terraform and AWS, enabling quick and autonomous deployment for all teams. The role expects you to lead projects in complete autonomy, plan ahead, and orchestrate changes across projects and teams. The base salary range is £82,500–£114,800 GBP, with remote work available.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Be a key contributor to the operation and deployment of all Dashboard Platform features
  • ▹Take ownership, research, explore and deliver world-class developer experiences
  • ▹Build new services powering the infrastructure platform using Kubernetes, Terraform and AWS
  • ▹Share knowledge on software engineering, testing and deployment best practices
  • ▹Orchestrate changes across multiple projects and teams when necessary

Requirements

  • ▹Good knowledge of modern infrastructure management with Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform on cloud providers (AWS, GCP, etc.)
  • ▹Familiarity with AI coding agents
  • ▹Rigor in high code quality, automated testing and engineering best practices
  • ▹Strong focus on Developer Experience
  • ▹Well-spoken and written English
  • ▹Preference for experience at the over-10,000-customer, $50-200M ARR stage

Nice to have

  • ▹Experience with Go and Ruby on Rails
  • ▹Knowledge of modern web development (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS)
