Software Engineer II - Benchmark Infrastructure
Starburst is looking for an infrastructure specialist with strong Java development skills to work on its internal benchmarking tool for performance analysis. You will lead a cross-cloud, cross-technology tool that allows developers and sales to easily analyze the performance of Starburst products, working on challenging problems around Kubernetes deployments, the Trino benchmarking driver and multi-cloud deployments. The role can be based in Warsaw, Poland or India.
Responsibilities
- ▹Design, develop and maintain the competitive analysis benchmarking service
- ▹Collaborate with team members and other teams globally in a fast-paced environment
- ▹Communicate ideas clearly in writing across Slack, GitHub PRs and design documents
- ▹Provide exceptional support for internal customers such as fellow engineers, sales and marketing
Requirements
- ▹Software development experience with Java
- ▹Demonstrated experience with software engineering and design best practices
- ▹At least 2 years of experience developing infrastructure as code (Pulumi / Terraform)
- ▹At least 2 years of experience developing infrastructure with Kubernetes
- ▹At least 2 years of experience creating and managing AWS infrastructure
- ▹Appreciation for maintainable, high-quality software as part of a global team
Nice to have
- ▹Prior experience with additional cloud vendors such as GCP and Azure
