Software Engineer 3, Atlas Clusters

MongoDB is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Atlas Clusters Organization, which builds MongoDB Atlas, the company's database-as-a-service offering and fastest growing product. Atlas lets users deploy fault-tolerant, secure, globally distributed MongoDB clusters in minutes, including software that interfaces with AWS, Azure, and GCP to deliver security, durability, availability, and performance. A new Atlas Clusters team is being formed in the Dublin area, with a hybrid or in-office working model.

Responsibilities

  • Build and design new features for MongoDB Atlas
  • Contribute to and lead complex technical projects
  • Work with stakeholders throughout MongoDB to build the roadmap and product offerings
  • Work with customers and support engineers to fix issues and take part in the on-call rotation
  • Collaborate with team members to develop the codebase, best practices, and design principles
  • Foster an inclusive and respectful work environment in line with MongoDB's core values

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional software development experience
  • Skilled at writing large-scale, distributed backend systems in a compiled language (Go, Java, C#, etc.)
  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider technology (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Has led the launch of a new critical feature and maintained it in production
