Senior Lead, Engineering
This is a hybrid management position based in Dublin that involves recruiting for and developing engineers, leading a cross-functional team, and also rolling up your sleeves to write code. MongoDB Engineering Leads and Senior Leads are expected to be both people managers and active developers, playing a leading role in how MongoDB leverages software and agentic AI technology to streamline internal business operations.
Responsibilities
- ▹Play a leading role in defining how MongoDB leverages software and agentic AI technology to streamline and enhance internal business operations
- ▹Lead cross-functional teams of engineering leads and individual contributors to deliver maximum value to the organization's software solutions
- ▹Support and develop team members' career growth and professional development
- ▹Collaborate with cross-functional partners to foster alignment and remove roadblocks for the team
- ▹Work hand in hand with Product Development to continuously deliver value to internal customers
- ▹Identify, design, implement, test, and support new features related to agentic and traditional software solutions
- ▹Mentor new engineering leads to become more effective managers and level up high-performing individual contributors to become leaders
- ▹Recruit for and develop engineers while remaining an active developer
Requirements
- ▹5+ years of experience managing teams of 5+ engineers and providing technical leadership
- ▹5+ years of professional software development experience
- ▹1+ years of experience actively developing with Generative AI in a professional capacity
- ▹Experience designing, writing, testing, and maintaining fullstack applications
- ▹Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership for teams and/or projects
- ▹Deep interest in developing team members' careers and growing their leadership skills
- ▹Based in Dublin for the hybrid working model
