ClickHouse is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help build ClickStack, a petabyte-scale, high-performance, open-source observability platform that brings together logs, metrics, traces, and session replays. Working across frontend and backend in JavaScript/TypeScript, the engineer will own key features, supercharge HyperDX and ClickStack, and craft an outstanding developer experience while engaging with the open-source community.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Own and build key features across frontend and backend systems that streamline debugging and monitoring for developers
  • ▹Collaborate with open-source contributors and customers and incorporate their feedback into the roadmap
  • ▹Supercharge HyperDX and ClickStack to process petabytes of observability data with high efficiency
  • ▹Build analysis tools and scale the cloud-hosted platform for a growing customer base

Requirements

  • ▹5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably building developer tools
  • ▹Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills (Next.js frontend and Express backend)
  • ▹Strong proficiency in React.js
  • ▹Proficiency in SQL for query generation on ClickHouse
  • ▹Experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
  • ▹A passion for open source and the developer community
  • ▹Experience creating developer tooling and designing for developers

Nice to have

  • ▹Expertise in distributed systems and event ingestion pipelines
  • ▹Experience working with columnar databases
  • ▹Strong opinions on observability tools and a vision for improving them
  • ▹Familiarity with additional languages such as Python, Rust, or PHP for building integrations
  • ▹Experience with SDKs
