Curriculum Developer & Instructor - EMEA
ClickHouse's Learning Team is growing and is looking for a Curriculum Developer & Instructor based in the EMEA region. The role involves developing and delivering training content in multiple formats, including on-demand courses at ClickHouse Academy, live online sessions via Zoom, in-person customer training, and talks at community events and conferences. The position also supports the credential and certification program.
Responsibilities
- ▹Develop ClickHouse training courses for on-demand and instructor-led delivery, including slides, videos, and hands-on labs
- ▹Design new training courses for various personas, working with Engineering and Product teams to determine course content
- ▹Work with other Curriculum Developers to produce high-quality on-demand content for ClickHouse Academy
- ▹Teach ClickHouse courses virtually and in person for public and private deliveries
- ▹Help write and deploy quizzes and certification exams for ClickHouse credentials and certifications
- ▹Establish a community presence via social media and deliver training and talks at conferences
- ▹Travel to meetups, conferences, and customer sites to deliver training and promote ClickHouse
Requirements
- ▹Located in the EMEA region with the ability to travel regionally throughout EMEA
- ▹Self-motivated attitude with the desire and determination to complete projects in a fast-paced startup environment
- ▹Ability to learn new technologies quickly and effectively
- ▹Proven experience developing curriculum for a highly technical audience such as software engineers and database developers
- ▹Proven experience and ability to teach audiences of all sizes and backgrounds
- ▹Experience with SQL
- ▹Excellent communication skills
- ▹Technical breadth and depth in subjects such as DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems software engineering, and big data
- ▹High level of responsibility, ownership, and accountability
Nice to have
- ▹5+ years of experience with curriculum development for databases and/or distributed systems
- ▹Strong knowledge of building machine learning applications and/or GenAI
- ▹Strong knowledge of database internals and deploying them at scale
- ▹Experience with the ClickHouse database
- ▹Experience with one or more cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- ▹Experience building software certification exams
- ▹Ability to work cross-functionally among engineering, support, product, and development teams
- ▹Technical degree (e.g. Computer Science or related field)
