Storyblok is searching for a Developer Experience (DX) Engineer who will play a key role in enhancing the developer experience for its open-source packages. Responsibilities include coordinating the internal maintainers of the various SDKs, working actively on the packages themselves, and taking care of the community around them. The role is fully remote within Europe.
Responsibilities
- ▹Actively contribute to a number of packages, especially the Storyblok JS Client and the Storyblok CLI
- ▹Review and triage public issues, questions and pull requests, maintaining high developer experience across all projects
- ▹Coordinate the different maintainers across the Product Division who work on open-source projects
- ▹Actively participate in code reviews and ensure packages are well tested and automated, maintaining CI/CD in a pragmatic way
- ▹Maintain a consistent stack, structure and process across projects, including creation of clear and extensive documentation
- ▹Establish efficient communication with the Engineering Department so new API features are available from all SDKs
- ▹Foster the community around the open-source packages, including active participation in community discussions on GitHub
- ▹Drive company-wide promotion of key updates related to the open-source packages (major releases, new features, new packages)
- ▹Watch out for opportunities to share knowledge about the packages and SDKs with other teams within Storyblok
Requirements
- ▹A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a JavaScript developer
- ▹Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science (or a related field) or equivalent experience
- ▹Demonstrable experience as author and maintainer of open source projects
- ▹Active involvement and participation in open-source communities
- ▹Thorough knowledge of RESTful and GraphQL APIs
- ▹Working knowledge of unit, integration and end-to-end testing
- ▹Thorough knowledge of the Vue.js or React ecosystem along with its fundamental principles
- ▹Thorough knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript languages and their modern syntax and features
- ▹Thorough knowledge of Node.js
- ▹Thorough knowledge of HTML and CSS
- ▹AI literacy: ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, decision-making, and quality of work with sound judgment
