Senior Product Security Engineer | Remote | Europe
n8n is hiring a Senior Product Security Engineer to strengthen the security of its product and platform. Working closely with the Head of Security in a 50+ person engineering department, you drive hands-on security work that helps engineering teams reduce risk and ship securely. You will run key security workflows, improve security across the SDLC, and help lay the foundations of a small but growing security team in a remote-first environment.
Responsibilities
- ▹Own day-to-day vulnerability intake and triage, including the security inbox and bug bounty submissions
- ▹Coordinate remediation with engineering teams and track issues through to resolution with clear priorities
- ▹Support coordinated disclosures, GitHub Security Advisories, and researcher communication
- ▹Operate and improve security tooling across the SDLC, including scanning, alert triage, and workflow tuning
- ▹Run practical security assessments such as targeted reviews, validation of findings, and remediation tracking
- ▹Partner with engineers to embed security into design, development, and release processes
- ▹Support threat modeling, secure coding guidance, and lightweight security reviews
- ▹Help coordinate security incidents through investigation, tracking, communication, and follow-up, and contribute to playbooks and runbooks
Requirements
- ▹5+ years of experience in product security, application security, or a closely related security engineering role in a SaaS or cloud environment
- ▹Hands-on experience triaging, validating, and coordinating remediation for security findings
- ▹Strong understanding of common web vulnerabilities and secure development principles
- ▹Experience with security tooling such as SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, or container scanning
- ▹Ability to work well with product and engineering teams without becoming a blocker
- ▹Clear communication: documenting findings and explaining risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- ▹Pragmatic execution and strong prioritization in fast-moving environments
- ▹A builder mindset, excited to help shape a newly forming security team
Nice to have
- ▹Experience securing cloud-native or multi-tenant SaaS platforms
- ▹Familiarity with the security considerations of JavaScript or TypeScript application environments
- ▹A DevSecOps mindset and experience integrating security checks into CI/CD pipelines
- ▹Threat modeling and design review experience in product teams
- ▹Experience with external researchers, bug bounty platforms, or coordinated disclosure
- ▹Experience in high-growth companies or open-source/developer communities
