Golang System Software Engineer - Containers / Virtualisation
Canonical is hiring a Golang Software Engineer for the LXD team, whose mission is to build a next-generation private cloud infrastructure combining KVM, Ceph and SDN technologies into a data-centre-scale cloud that 'just works' for edge and core enterprise deployments. The engineer works on the low-level Go codebase sitting between the REST API and the low-level C libraries that manage containers and virtual machines. LXD components span the full stack from kernel features to the management API/CLI, so the most effective engineers are fluent across all layers. The role is remote in EMEA and the Americas.
