Senior Software Engineer - Docs Engineering
Elastic is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Docs Engineering Team. In this role you will build, maintain, and support the documentation platform, tooling, and pipelines that deliver documentation across the entire Elastic ecosystem to both internal and external users. The work spans multiple programming languages and technologies, with a strong emphasis on automation, AI-assisted coding, and developer experience. It is a fully distributed, remote position with the autonomy to help redefine how technical documentation is authored and delivered.

Responsibilities
- ▹Develop, maintain, and support software that bridges content creation and high-scale documentation delivery
- ▹Work in a multi-language environment across a range of technologies
- ▹Leverage AI-assisted coding and emerging tools to radically improve engineering efficiency and automation
- ▹Collaborate with the Product Team and other stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable deployment patterns and processes
- ▹Maintain a relentless focus on usability, ensuring the documentation platforms provide a world-class developer experience
Requirements
- ▹A minimum of 8 years of recent software engineering experience
- ▹Proven experience building, releasing, supporting, and maintaining software products for a broad user base
- ▹Proficiency in a variety of programming languages
- ▹Comfort with AI-assisted coding and a drive to integrate these tools into the modern development lifecycle
- ▹Deep understanding of industry best practices, complex architectures, and distributed systems
- ▹Strong focus on usability and developer experience
- ▹Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- ▹Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across a remote, global team
