A hands-on Business Analyst role in Morgan Stanley's Capital Planning Transformation team, partnering with Capital Planning SMEs, Finance and Risk stakeholders and Technology. The role supports the design, development, testing and deployment of automation solutions that reduce manual effort, improve data accuracy and enhance reporting efficiency across Finance platforms, including regulatory initiatives like CCAR.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Identify manual, repetitive Finance processes suitable for automation
  • ▹Assist in designing automated workflows using Alteryx, Power Automate, VBA or Python
  • ▹Build, test and maintain automation scripts and process flows under guidance
  • ▹Prepare, cleanse and transform Finance data and support automated data refreshes (Excel, Power BI, TM1)
  • ▹Capture and document business requirements and translate them into functional process steps
  • ▹Support user testing (UAT) and defect resolution

Requirements

  • ▹Beginner to intermediate experience with automation tools (VBA, Alteryx, Power Automate, Python)
  • ▹Strong Excel skills; exposure to Power BI or BI tools preferred
  • ▹Basic understanding of Finance processes and data structures
  • ▹Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • ▹Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Data, IT or related field
  • ▹Basic SQL knowledge

Nice to have

  • ▹Early-career experience or internships in Finance, analytics or automation
  • ▹Demonstrated interest in digital finance and process automation
