A Data Modeler role within Sanofi's Digital People & Culture (P&C) team in Budapest. The role designs and maintains the data architecture powering global People analytics and HR insights, translating complex business needs into robust, high-performance data models for Data Warehouse/Lake environments.
Responsibilities
- ▹Guide data engineers in building data models for Data Warehouse/Lake environments handling high-volume analytics data
- ▹Organize and optimize data models to improve performance and simplify KPI calculation
- ▹Analyze and translate business requirements into scalable, long-term data model solutions
- ▹Implement data strategies and develop physical data models
- ▹Define and oversee data cleaning requirements and assess data security needs
- ▹Apply and champion enterprise coding best practices for consistency and audit compliance
Requirements
- ▹Proven experience in data warehouse modeling and optimization
- ▹Solid knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, data architecture, and SQL
- ▹Strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts (Kimball and Inmon methodologies)
- ▹Experience with data modeling tools (SQL Database Modeler, IBM InfoSphere, or erwin Data Modeler)
- ▹Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Modeling, or related field
- ▹Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
Nice to have
- ▹Background in data engineering, BI, or analytics with tools such as Informatica/IICS
- ▹Experience working in agile/scrum environments
- ▹Ability to mentor fellow Data Modelers and Data Architects
- ▹Additional languages besides English
