Calendly is hiring a hands-on Engineering Manager who combines people leadership with a strong background in technical execution and a product mindset. Working directly with the Senior Director of Engineering, you will partner with product, design, data, security, and go-to-market stakeholders to define and deliver the roadmap for new Scheduling products. You will lead teams that build and operate highly available products at scale and drive the adoption of AI-powered tools. The base salary range is $193,855–$281,888 depending on geographic tier.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Work on products and services aimed at simplifying scheduling for millions of users.
  • ▹Lead agile ceremonies to help your team plan and execute their work.
  • ▹Coach, mentor, and onboard new engineering team members.
  • ▹Identify future technical needs and create plans to meet them.
  • ▹Provide feedback and guidance to continuously grow and scale the team.
  • ▹Hire engineers to build out new and existing squads, with oversight of all team members.

Requirements

  • ▹3+ years of experience managing a team of software engineers.
  • ▹5+ years of overall development experience, ideally with TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
  • ▹Experience driving adoption of AI-powered tools and workflows in an AI-first organization.
  • ▹Deep proficiency with distributed / data-oriented application development and SaaS.
  • ▹Experience planning and leading development efforts on large projects.
  • ▹Track record of leading and mentoring teams toward big goals with consistent execution.
  • ▹Strong technical judgment in distributed, service-oriented architectures and API design.
  • ▹Experience leading Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
  • ▹Availability for on-call rotation for business-critical alerts.
  • ▹Authorized to work lawfully in the United States; Calendly does not offer immigration sponsorship.
