n8n, an open-source workflow orchestration platform for the AI era (260+ employees, 650,000+ active builders, 190K+ GitHub stars, $5.2bn valuation), is hiring multiple AI Product Managers across levels. The role owns one focused AI workstream, potentially leading it independently or alongside a senior PM mentor, turning ambitious AI ideas into trustworthy product experiences. Possible focus areas include AI Trust (evals, observability, guardrails, reliability, human-in-the-loop) and AI Building / Super Agent (making n8n an AI-first product). This is not an ML platform or research role; it is for people who have built deeply with AI.
Responsibilities
- ▹Own one focused AI workstream, leading it independently or alongside a senior PM mentor depending on level
- ▹Turn ambitious, sometimes chaotic AI ideas into product experiences that users can trust, understand and build with
- ▹Work close to users, the technology and the future of AI products, collaborating with Engineering, Design, Data, Product Marketing, DevRel, Community, Support and Customer Success
- ▹Potentially focus on AI Trust: evals, observability, traces, guardrails, reliability, latency, cost, debugging and human-in-the-loop patterns to make AI behavior inspectable and production-ready
- ▹Potentially focus on AI Building / Super Agent: custom memory, Skills, computer and browser use, files, chat-first building and proactive suggestions, shifting usage to AI-native surfaces
Requirements
- ▹AI-native by default: regular use of tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, n8n or similar, and following the AI product space closely
- ▹Product Management track record: successfully shipped real AI products, serious prototypes, public projects, agent workflows, eval suites or tools used by real people
- ▹Eval practice: built or meaningfully shaped evals, not just talked about them
- ▹Harness literacy: understanding of tool loops, planners, scaffolding, context management and the practical constraints of agentic systems
- ▹Strong product instincts: clear thinking about trade-offs, user value, product quality and what should or should not be built
- ▹UX taste: knowing what good and beautiful UX looks like and being able to explain why
- ▹Comfort with ambiguity: bringing order to chaos and structuring fuzzy problems
- ▹For senior candidates: shipped AI in production, 0-to-1 product ownership, data fluency (SQL, funnels, product metrics), influence without authority
- ▹For earlier-career candidates: high learning slope, low PM baggage, deep AI tinkering, visible building (public demos, writing, talks, open-source)
Nice to have
- ▹Workflow automation, orchestration or developer tooling background
- ▹Open-source and community experience
- ▹Founding or early-stage background
- ▹Coding background
