The Betsson Group Sportsbook Area is hiring a backend software engineer. The in-house, world-class Sportsbook is growing rapidly across new markets and as a B2B product, serving 20+ brands. The global Product Development organisation spans 5 Tech Hubs (Malta, Budapest, Stockholm, Tallinn, Athens).

Responsibilities

  • ▹Work in an end-to-end agile team with a strong feature focus, alongside developers, QA engineers and UX specialists
  • ▹Be involved in all aspects of software development: ensuring the architecture and design are as good as possible, writing code, unit and end-to-end tests, and managing data models
  • ▹Design and implement new features
  • ▹Analyse the system and improve architecture and technical excellence

Requirements

  • ▹.NET/C#
  • ▹.NET Core
  • ▹Interacting with REST APIs
  • ▹SQL Server: writing queries and tuning performance
  • ▹Communicating in English
  • ▹Agile development
  • ▹Unit testing frameworks
  • ▹Collaborating and knowledge sharing

Nice to have

  • ▹Implementing distributed and multi-tier/micro-service systems
  • ▹Experience with cloud computing services (e.g. AWS, Azure)
  • ▹Containerized applications / Docker / Kubernetes
