Betsson Group is looking for a Software Architect who sees themselves as part of every team, making themselves available to the whole area and supporting all teams when architectural guidance is needed. They seek someone with great interpersonal skills and a true problem solver, working closely with Software Engineers and Product Managers.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Ensure all initiatives are aligned with the overall technical vision
  • ▹Support Team Leads, Development Teams and Product Managers on the technical routes to take
  • ▹Support the Product Manager to set the right priorities in the backlog and roadmap for each initiative
  • ▹Take part in decision making with key stakeholders
  • ▹Participate in workshops, brainstorming, presentations and knowledge-transfer sessions with the architecture team and other parties
  • ▹Participate in pre-solution work for new initiatives, outlining high-level solutions
  • ▹Participate in design reviews to ensure all solutions adhere to established guidelines
  • ▹Identify refactoring activities to address technical debt, performance, scalability, availability, reliability and security
  • ▹Support development teams and product owners in defining relevant NFRs (KPIs)
  • ▹Cooperate with Enterprise Architects to align area solutions with company guidelines around integration patterns, data storage, orchestration and messaging
  • ▹Support development teams with architectural decisions, designs and high incidents
  • ▹Benchmark systems, analyse bottlenecks and propose solutions to eliminate them
  • ▹Mentor, guide and be a technology leader to more junior team members

Requirements

  • ▹Good understanding of new technology and how it can be exploited to improve solutions and drive innovation
  • ▹Good communicator and collaborator
  • ▹Experience with microservices and associated tools such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Docker and Kubernetes
  • ▹Experience building RESTful services and familiarity with best practices
  • ▹Demonstrated expertise building applications at scale, strong knowledge of datastores (SQL, NoSQL) and the ability to choose the right technology based on requirements
  • ▹Experience with architectural patterns for High Availability, Performance, scale-out architecture, Disaster Recovery and Security Architecture
  • ▹A technical mindset with great attention to detail
  • ▹A product mindset in the design of features, thinking ahead about how decisions will impact how features evolve

Nice to have

  • ▹Knowledge of cloud-based architectures and the deployment and operational aspects of Amazon Web Services cloud
