Backend Engineering Tech Lead
Betsson's Sportsbook Area is hiring a Tech Lead. The world-class Sportsbook platform is fully developed in-house, powers more than 20 brands, and also operates as a B2B product. As part of the Sportsbook B2B & Integrations value stream, the Tech Lead participates in the design, POCs, and development of complex tasks and is a key person ensuring high-quality delivery by the developers within a high-performance, high-throughput, and highly available product ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- ▹As a Tech Lead in the Sportsbook B2B & Integrations value stream, participating in the design, POCs, and development of complex tasks and ensuring high-quality delivery
- ▹Working closely with the area's architects to ensure the set architecture direction is communicated, aligned, and implemented within the teams
- ▹Aligning with the other tech leads to ensure technical consistency, and taking ownership of and driving technical excellence initiatives within Sportsbook
- ▹Identifying technical improvements in the applications you are responsible for
- ▹Validating technical improvements and helping Product Managers prioritize them
- ▹Explaining the benefits of technical improvements to both technical and non-technical audiences
- ▹Participating in development, testing, code reviews, bug fixing, implementing new features, and maintaining and improving existing functionality
- ▹Helping build the world-class team, participating in technical interviews, and coaching and mentoring engineers
- ▹Staying up to date with technology, understanding the benefits and use cases of a variety of technologies, and being strategic in their implementation
Requirements
- ▹Someone passionate about building things, with a strong technical background and an understanding of non-functional requirements
- ▹Expertise in designing and implementing distributed microservices
- ▹Deep understanding of the latest C# and .NET framework/core
- ▹Experience deploying scalable back-end solutions using AWS/Azure/GCP
- ▹Expertise with distributed systems and high-speed database technologies, including SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB, Redis)
- ▹Familiarity with messaging technologies
