Software Engineer, Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• ▹Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of the async task runner serving over 100 million global users
• ▹Help ensure systems remain reliable, efficient, and scalable, with guidance from senior team members
• ▹Evaluate and integrate new technologies to stay ahead of emerging challenges
• ▹Debug live production systems with minimal disruption, replacing components or managing failovers
• ▹Participate in an on-call rotation, responding to incidents to uphold service reliability
• ▹Partner with product engineers and other infra teams to align platforms with business needs

Requirements

• ▹At least 4 years of software development experience, performing well in a fast-paced environment
• ▹Systems thinking: understanding distributed systems and tradeoffs like consistency, latency, and scalability
• ▹Pragmatic problem-solving: balancing craft, speed, and long-term maintainability
• ▹Ownership and initiative in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
• ▹Customer empathy, collaborating across teams to support reliable systems
• ▹Openness to adopting AI tools in daily work
