German-Speaking DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Operate, support, and continuously improve on-premise IT infrastructure
• ▹Administer Linux-based systems, Kubernetes clusters, and middleware components
• ▹Implement and maintain automation tasks
• ▹Build and operate monitoring and logging systems (e.g. Grafana, Icinga)
• ▹Contribute to optimizing network and firewall architectures (LAN, WAN, routing)
• ▹Work closely with architecture teams to keep platforms stable and scalable
• ▹Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure high availability

Requirements

• ▹Several years of experience in systems operations (Linux, Kubernetes, security)
• ▹Networking knowledge: LAN/WAN, routing, firewalls
• ▹Hands-on experience with automation (Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab, scripting, Python)
• ▹CI/CD mindset and tooling (GitLab; knowledge of Terraform/OpenTofu is a plus)
• ▹Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident and problem management)
• ▹Experience operating, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning complex systems
• ▹Willingness to use documentation and collaboration tools (e.g. Confluence, Jira)
• ▹Active German language skills (min. B2 level)
• ▹Professional English communication skills

Nice to have

• ▹Familiarity with Helm, Kustomize, or GitOps-based approaches
• ▹Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure)
• ▹Knowledge of Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions
• ▹Experience using REST APIs
• ▹Oracle database administration knowledge
