Expression of Interest - Senior IT Project Manager

Responsibilities

• ▹Manage assigned projects (software/products and/or infrastructure) and the production of relevant project deliverables and artifacts
• ▹Identify project risks and issues and escalate them in a timely manner where appropriate
• ▹Manage the expectations and satisfaction of stakeholders
• ▹Implement effective change control by assessing and communicating project change impacts
• ▹Ensure project resources and budgets are tracked and kept up to date
• ▹Develop and distribute timely status reports with key metrics to stakeholders
• ▹Follow and align with the organisation's processes, governance framework, and best practice
• ▹Own and engage in all stages of the agile development process — planning, stand-up, show-and-tell, and retrospective ceremonies
• ▹Work closely with product owners to ensure the backlog is sufficiently prioritised for the next iteration
• ▹Manage, coach, and motivate the project team
• ▹Communicate with openness, honesty, and respect, handling conflict resolution and direction setting

Requirements

• ▹Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in IT Advisory projects as subject matter expert and/or project manager
• ▹Deep understanding of the business model of at least two industries: banking, telecommunication, energy, insurance, production, retail
• ▹Deep understanding of current digital transformation, IT delivery, and complex project/program methodology trends
• ▹Capability of intervening in larger projects, even correcting the work of subject matter experts
• ▹Strong people management skills with a proven track record as a leader
• ▹Very good presentation skills
• ▹Strong English skills (written and verbal) and native Hungarian

Nice to have

• ▹Proven track record managing IT engagements in areas such as system implementation (ERP, CRM, BI, core banking, BSS/OSS), IT organizational and operating models, or architecture-related projects
• ▹Experience working with C-level executives
• ▹IT advisory / business consulting experience (Big4 or top-tier consultants) or large company CxO-level support background
• ▹Experience in consulting-related sales processes
• ▹Experience working with public sector companies
• ▹Knowledge of data management methodologies and/or tools
• ▹Understanding of data analysis methods and technologies (Big Data tools, Machine Learning, data management tools, etc.)
• ▹Capability of creating concepts and methods for non-predictable situations and engagements
