Analytics Engineer, dbt (Business Intelligence)

Bitpanda is looking for an Analytics Engineer (dbt) to drive data-driven decision making across product, engineering, operations, finance and other teams. You will help collect, analyse and understand the key metrics that drive growth impacting millions of end users globally. The role contributes to the design of the core data model and ensures high data quality using dbt with Python and SQL.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the ongoing design of the core data model to support advanced analytics and business intelligence
  • Unify business intelligence, data engineering and business stakeholders to build data sets and models relevant to their businesses
  • Engage and collaborate with Finance and Operations to identify reporting needs and improvements
  • Ensure high data quality of the core data layer with dbt models using Python and SQL
  • Enable analysts across the organisation and streamline dashboard creation

Requirements

  • Advanced experience with SQL, dbt and Python
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work, learn and grow across teams and functions
  • Solid experience with data modelling (dimensional modelling, OBT or star/snowflake schemas)
  • Experience with data quality frameworks and data visualisation tools
  • Around three years of professional analytics engineering and/or business intelligence experience with a passion for FinTech
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, business informatics, applied mathematics and statistics or similar

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with Airflow
  • Experience with BI tools (Metabase, Tableau or similar)
