Senior Embedded QA Engineer
As a Senior Embedded QA Engineer in SumUp's Hardware Tribe, you will work in a small, cross-functional team alongside Product Managers, Embedded Engineers and Mobile Engineers to build sustainable testing solutions. You will be accountable for the mobile testing tools the QA team builds and a critical decision maker in the design of hardware test infrastructure to run HIL (hardware-in-the-loop) tests and support software releases. The Hardware tribe designs SumUp's card payment devices and accessories. The role is based on-site in the Berlin office.
Responsibilities
- ▹Ensure all new developer code has the right quality and is compliant with selected best practices, in collaboration with the CL
- ▹Build and maintain test infrastructure for HIL tests, with a strong emphasis on Embedded QA
- ▹Ensure multiple types of tests cover the main features, especially UI, mobile application and end-to-end tests
- ▹Ensure new releases are delivered on time with the right quality
- ▹Evangelize a strong quality mindset within the Hardware tribe
Requirements
- ▹Expertise in Embedded QA in a Linux environment
- ▹Experience with object-oriented programming (Python is a must)
- ▹Knowledge of REST APIs
- ▹Experience building test libraries
- ▹Expertise in testing and continuous integration strategies
- ▹Experience with manual testing, writing test cases and campaign management
