Raisin is offering a working student position as a Frontend Engineer on a cross-functional team responsible for the full end-to-end development lifecycle supporting its US business. The team builds and operates a mission-critical, 24/7 fintech platform in a highly regulated, reliability-sensitive environment demanding high availability, scalability and a strong focus on customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Write clean code and follow the team's agreed best practices
  • ▹Perform good code reviews, upholding best practices and business rules with respectful, constructive communication
  • ▹Write automation tests to ensure the quality of software deliveries
  • ▹Support a 'green' development and staging environment, helping identify and fix test pipeline issues
  • ▹Actively participate in team ceremonies
  • ▹Follow the incident management process during regular working hours and on-call shifts
  • ▹Actively participate in TechDemo and other knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • ▹Use AI tools (code completion, test generation, documentation assistance) to increase development velocity
  • ▹Critically evaluate AI-generated output, verifying correctness, safety and maintainability before integrating it into production

Requirements

  • ▹Motivated and detail-oriented Computer Science student with hands-on frontend development experience
  • ▹Experience building responsive and user-friendly web applications
  • ▹Passion for writing clean, maintainable code and continuous improvement
  • ▹REST APIs
  • ▹One JS framework (React.js / Next.js / Vue.js)
  • ▹HTML5, CSS3, JS, TypeScript and responsive design
  • ▹Git / GitHub / GitLab
  • ▹Basic knowledge of TypeScript
  • ▹Basic testing (Jest / React Testing Library)
