Engineering Lead – KYC Domain (m/f/d)
Raisin is looking for an Engineering Lead for its KYC (Know Your Customer) domain, part of the Base Tribe. The RX Tooling team is a cross-functional group of web, mobile and backend engineers that builds, runs and maintains six Python microservices responsible for fast, reliable and secure customer legitimation via external KYC vendors. This is not a purely managerial role — you will actively contribute to code while ensuring reliable delivery and 24/7 operational readiness.
Responsibilities
- ▹Own the full end-to-end delivery cycle: requirements analysis, effort estimation, design, implementation, QA, delivery and support
- ▹Nurture an inspiring environment with open communication and a culture of trust
- ▹Champion writing clean, maintainable and efficient code in Python, following software development best practices
- ▹Implement new features and maintain existing codebases to ensure high performance and availability
- ▹Proactively resolve impediments and mitigate risks, escalating in a timely manner
- ▹Collaborate closely with the team's Product Manager and facilitate strategy and planning
- ▹Drive the OKR process, pairing OKRs with individual target agreements
- ▹Recruit, hire and onboard engineers, developing their soft and technical skills
- ▹Craft individual development plans, provide coaching and maintain strong performance standards
Requirements
- ▹University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related fields, or equivalent practical experience
- ▹At least 2 years of leadership/people management experience in a remote setup, with a strong focus on delivery
- ▹Hands-on experience in technical platform transitions within a company
- ▹Strong hands-on experience (min. 8 years) as a Backend Software Engineer, wanting to stay a main contributor
- ▹Ability to manage software projects to successful, collaborative delivery
- ▹Up-to-date, in-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle in modern frontend and backend
- ▹Comfort with Python technologies and architecture discussions
- ▹Experience with AWS Services, Kubernetes and event-driven architectures
- ▹Very good communication skills and fluency in English
