GetYourGuide is hiring a Data Engineering Manager for its Supply Data Engineering team, part of the strategic Flywheel Data Engineering group. The mission is to build trusted data foundations and self-serve capabilities for the supply side of the marketplace, ingesting and structuring datasets into reliable tables, metrics and data products. This is a player-coach role combining people leadership with hands-on technical leadership.
Responsibilities
- ▹Hire, coach and support data engineers through clear expectations, feedback and performance management
- ▹Shape the roadmap, strategy and long-term vision for Supply Data Engineering
- ▹Act as a strategic advisor to stakeholders across Supply, Product and Data and drive adoption of trusted datasets
- ▹Ensure strong data architecture, reliability and data quality, and establish engineering practices and standards
- ▹Lead work integrating internal and external datasets to enable initiatives like dynamic/competitive pricing and inventory optimization
Requirements
- ▹3+ years in a relevant data management role with hands-on experience
- ▹Proficiency in SQL and Python
- ▹Strong grounding in data modeling, pipeline design, orchestration, observability and data quality
- ▹Comfortable engaging directly with production systems
- ▹Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- ▹Strategic leadership and business acumen to translate needs into measurable outcomes and roadmaps
