
Senior Sales Engineer 🇧🇪
Alan is looking for a Senior Sales Engineer for its pre-sales team in Belgium, supporting enterprise and public sector sales on the most complex deals. The role combines operational excellence with strategic vision, helping to shape and scale a recently created pre-sales function. The candidate will lead pre-sales strategy, participate in RFP submissions, and act as the voice of the customer in Alan's product roadmap.
Responsibilities
- ▹Master Alan's platform and enable the sales team with insights, expertise, and relevant tools
- ▹Understand prospects' needs and work internally on how Alan can best address them
- ▹Assess the level of functional alignment between prospects and Alan's offering
- ▹Participate in RFP submissions in collaboration with Sales, Insurance, and Product experts
- ▹Join the customer acquisition journey to evangelize Alan's services and products
- ▹Act as the voice of the customer, feeding Alan's platform roadmap
- ▹Prepare handovers and coordinate the most complex customer onboardings
- ▹Lead and coordinate the pre-sales strategy on the most complex deals
- ▹Collaborate with peers in France to share good practices and build a global playbook
Requirements
- ▹At least 4 years of experience in a SaaS environment
- ▹Fluent written and verbal English
- ▹Fluent written and verbal Dutch or French
- ▹Based in Belgium
- ▹Experience in end-to-end procurement projects (RFI, RFQ, RFP)
- ▹Ability to pitch a product transparently without overselling
- ▹Skill in identifying customer concerns through active listening and requirements elicitation
- ▹Assertiveness and skill in handling objections in complex environments
- ▹Ability to break down complex issues and identify product gaps
- ▹Strong high-level stakeholder management and prioritization skills
Nice to have
- ▹Fluency in both Dutch and French
- ▹Experience in insurance or health platforms
- ▹Experience in HRIS / payroll solutions
