Algolia is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Search team responsible for the cloud-based, scalable architecture behind NeuralSearch, its AI search engine combining keyword and vector search. The work involves distributed components that orchestrate the building and storage of indices and the querying of customer data to return search results. The role requires understanding and solving the challenges of complex distributed systems within a mostly remote team. The base salary range is €52,500–€73,000 EUR, with remote, hybrid or Paris office options.

Responsibilities
- ▹Be a key contributor to the design and development of the Search and Indexing systems
- ▹Take responsibility for Search operations, including participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota
- ▹Ensure the quality and soundness of the system
- ▹Share expertise on distributed systems
- ▹Work with other teams to identify, troubleshoot and resolve high-impact issues
Requirements
- ▹Experience designing and operating distributed systems in production
- ▹Experience working with large datasets and high traffic
- ▹Rigor in high code quality, automated testing and engineering best practices
- ▹Excellent spoken and written English
- ▹Experience at the $50-200M ARR high-growth stage
