
Senior Site Reliability Engineer
Algolia is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for its Fleet team, an SRE team focused on one goal: ensuring the Search products are always available. The team creates pragmatic solutions to optimize the availability and cost of Search products at scale, balancing the needs of customers, product teams and the engineering teams that deliver the Search experience. You will help design and implement systems focused on reliability, scalability and cost efficiency, operate the Search products, build self-healing and automated incident response mechanisms, and monitor SLOs and error budgets. The base salary range is €69,768–€93,500 EUR, with remote options.
Responsibilities
- ▹Operate the Search products and build self-healing, automated incident response mechanisms
- ▹Build components that improve reliability and performance
- ▹Monitor and compute the SLO and error budget of the products you operate
- ▹Reduce toil and technical debt by automating tasks and improving existing components
- ▹Manage incidents and customer requests
Requirements
- ▹5 years of experience in a scalable environment
- ▹Knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, Golang, Ruby) and familiarity with software craftsmanship
- ▹Experience working with APIs
- ▹A focus on designing reliable, operable and highly available applications
- ▹Familiarity with public cloud providers (GCP, AWS or Microsoft Azure) and their Kubernetes services
- ▹A good understanding of Linux system administration, networking and troubleshooting
- ▹Strong communication and organizational skills
