Sales Engineer

Algolia is seeking a passionate Solutions Engineer to join its go-to-market organization and drive technical success with its search and discovery platform. You own the technical pre-sales relationship across opportunities and accounts, partnering with Account Executives to demonstrate the product and architecture and deliver consultative solutions that result in a strong technical win. You act as both a deep technical expert and a trusted advisor, equally comfortable with CTOs, product managers, and customer engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Sales teams and prospects on their evaluation and adoption of Algolia solutions
  • Understand and qualify customer goals with KPIs and articulate Algolia's ability to meet them
  • Assist in the sales process including discovery, demos, Proofs of Concept, RFP responses and business justification
  • Develop custom search applications leveraging the tools, frameworks, and partners of the Algolia ecosystem
  • Distill and advocate customer interests, needs and product feedback to Product and Engineering teams
  • Continuously learn and keep aware of industry trends in the search and discovery space

Requirements

  • Experience as a Solutions/Sales Engineer owning technical pre-sales relationships
  • Ability to demonstrate products and underlying architecture and address technical and business objections
  • Ability to build prototypes and integrations using APIs
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for diverse audiences
