As a Staff SAP Engineer at Qonto you become the strongest technical voice for the Finance and Accounting teams, taking end-to-end ownership of the SAP integration landscape, stabilizing quality after migration and evolving it as the company grows across Europe. You frame complex integration challenges, drive architectural decisions, set quality standards and act as the main technical point of contact for Finance while critically challenging external integrators. The role is full remote with occasional optional on-site time in Paris.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Frame complex SAP integration challenges, propose clear solutions and drive the roadmap based on Finance priorities
  • ▹Become the main technical point of contact for Accounting and Finance, translating business needs into architecture
  • ▹Work critically with external integrators (PwC, MeltOne, MSG), knowing when to push back, redesign or bring work in-house
  • ▹Design and evolve integrations: REST/OData APIs, middleware connectors and compliance guardrails across SAP, Workday, ADP, Google Workspace and Slack
  • ▹Use AI tools such as Claude in daily work to design faster and code cleaner, and help the team adopt modern AI-driven practices

Requirements

  • ▹5+ years of hands-on SAP experience, ideally with S/4HANA Public Cloud, ABAP and RAP/CDS
  • ▹Proven ability to design and build integrations
  • ▹Staff mindset: knowing what to deliver, operating with high autonomy and anticipating problems before they arise
  • ▹Strong stakeholder skills, communicating complex technical decisions clearly to non-technical Finance teams
  • ▹Willingness to actively use and critically challenge AI tools (Claude, Copilot, Joule)
