
Senior Frontend Engineer
Join Ledger's E-commerce Engineering team, responsible for everything customers experience on ledger.com, from discovery to checkout. As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will lead complex projects end-to-end using a modern stack (Next.js, Shopify, Contentful, Vercel), shaping the web experience used by millions of customers. This is a hands-on role with strong ownership, technical direction, and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- ▹Lead development of high-impact features from ideation to production and iterate based on real user data
- ▹Write clean, maintainable, and performant code in TypeScript, React, and Next.js
- ▹Improve the architecture, scalability, and reliability of the platform, keeping a high bar for testing and monitoring
- ▹Collaborate with Product, Design, and Marketing to define the right problems and shape solutions
- ▹Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and feedback, and promote best practices across the team
- ▹Plan, estimate, and deliver work with stakeholders while communicating clearly on progress, risks, and trade-offs
Requirements
- ▹Strong experience building production applications with JavaScript/TypeScript and React
- ▹Experience with Next.js or modern SSR frameworks
- ▹Proven ability to own and deliver projects end-to-end
- ▹Comfortable leveraging AI-assisted development tools while applying strong engineering judgment to validate outputs
- ▹Strong product mindset focused on user impact and business outcomes
- ▹Experience with A/B testing and data-driven optimisation
- ▹Solid understanding of performance, SEO, and web best practices
