Software Engineer, Angular (B2C Web Platform)
Bitpanda, an Austrian investing and trading platform founded in 2014 in Vienna, is looking for a Frontend Engineer for its flagship B2C platform. You will craft highly performant, secure and scalable web surfaces that bring everything from everyday investing to advanced crypto trading to life for millions of users. The role centers on owning the stability and maintenance of existing, high-impact web applications built primarily with Angular and TypeScript.

Responsibilities
- ▹Own the stability and maintenance of existing, high-impact web applications using primarily Angular and TypeScript
- ▹Dive into an established codebase to troubleshoot complex bugs, resolve vulnerability issues and apply pragmatic solutions
- ▹Support gradual internal codebase migrations while keeping core business operations running smoothly
- ▹Collaborate with product, design and backend engineers to ensure reliability, security and performance across critical user flows
Requirements
- ▹5+ years of professional web engineering experience with deep, hands-on expertise in Angular and TypeScript
- ▹A pragmatic firefighter and problem solver, comfortable debugging and stabilizing legacy or complex existing codebases
- ▹Ability to turn ambiguous product and UX requirements into clear, scalable technical solutions
- ▹Comfortable using modern developer tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to understand, document and safely update existing systems
- ▹Hands-on with frontend testing frameworks in an Angular ecosystem and maintaining reliable test suites to prevent regressions
