Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Software Logistics
N26, a fully cloud-hosted digital bank, is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the Software Logistics Team (CI/CD) within the Platform Engineering segment. The team provides easy-to-use, self-service platforms that enable other segments to build, deploy and monitor their applications with minimal friction. You will maintain and optimise the systems that power CI/CD at N26 and shape the company's CI/CD strategy to help development teams deliver faster.
Responsibilities
- ▹Maintain, implement and optimise the systems and applications that power CI/CD at N26
- ▹Shape and influence N26's CI/CD strategy to empower development teams to deliver features faster
- ▹Improve the security and compliance posture of the systems
- ▹Implement security and compliance checks as a service within the CI/CD pipeline offering
- ▹Standardise pipelines and raise the level of autonomy for users
- ▹Mentor other engineers and help improve ways of working and engineering practices
- ▹Take an active part in roadmap definition and prioritisation for the group
- ▹Stay on top of incidents and production deployment issues to ensure stable, predictable delivery
Requirements
- ▹Experience with at least one high-level programming language and its ecosystem (Python, Go, TypeScript, Kotlin are used daily)
- ▹A good understanding of Linux, particularly networking, containerisation and security in Unix-like environments
- ▹Experience with cloud service providers, ideally a hyperscaler such as AWS, GCP or Azure (AWS is the primary provider)
Nice to have
- ▹Experience working in strict security- and compliance-oriented environments
- ▹Experience planning, building and supporting scalable CI/CD pipelines using trunk-based development or GitHub Flow
- ▹A good understanding of integrated CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD
- ▹Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform (OpenTofu), Ansible or Salt
- ▹Good knowledge of Kubernetes administration (most workloads run on EKS)
