Senior Backend Engineer - Experimentation
N26, the Berlin-headquartered digital bank, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for the Experimentation team within its Platform Engineering Domain. The team enables N26 engineering teams to make data-driven decisions when launching new features and products, offering tools for A/B testing, feature flag management and frontend tracking event collection. You will work in a cross-functional team with a high degree of autonomy on complex problems, at one of the first banks fully hosted in the cloud.
Responsibilities
- ▹Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software in a thriving environment
- ▹Collaborate closely with the Tech Lead on architecting new features and seeing them through to completion
- ▹Stay up to date with the latest trends in technology
- ▹Work within a cross-functional team to uphold the highest technical standards across the product
Requirements
- ▹Significant experience developing software using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems
- ▹Solid experience with software development best practices and software architectures (distributed systems, Domain-Driven Design, testing)
- ▹Full professional proficiency in English
- ▹Previous experience with cloud architectures, preferably AWS
Nice to have
- ▹Hands-on data engineering experience
- ▹Hands-on experience developing and/or operating event streaming platforms, preferably Kafka
- ▹Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
