The Billing Engineering team builds the billing and metering platform behind ClickHouse Cloud, working across frontend and backend while integrating with numerous external systems. As a full stack engineer you will build mission-critical, highly available flows with a direct impact on the business, keeping accuracy and compliance a priority.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Build ClickHouse Cloud's billing and metering platform and the mission-critical processes behind it
  • ▹Design secure, efficient and highly available frameworks and platforms that abstract away infrastructure complexity
  • ▹Make and justify decisions throughout the creative process to help present solutions to peers and stakeholders
  • ▹Partner with multi-disciplinary teams to define business strategies, user needs and optimal solutions
  • ▹Integrate with a variety of systems such as Billing, Metering, Logging, Monitoring and Support

Requirements

  • ▹5+ years of relevant software development experience building front-end systems running on the cloud
  • ▹Hands-on experience leading and shipping large-scope technical projects with multiple experienced engineers
  • ▹Technologies: TypeScript, Serverless, EKS, SQS, Mongo, Node.js and React
  • ▹Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and its infrastructure-as-a-service offering
  • ▹Experience building and operating high-scale distributed systems across the full software life cycle
  • ▹Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well across engineering teams

Nice to have

  • ▹Experience with billing concepts such as credit card processing, usage-based billing, metering and invoicing
  • ▹Familiarity with CSP marketplaces (AWS, GCP, Azure), sales tax, auditing and record-keeping
  • ▹Proficiency in multiple programming languages
