The Inbox organisation looks after Proton's Mail and Calendar products for iOS, Web and Desktop, including the B2B-focused Bridge application. As a QA Automation Engineer on the Inbox team, you would play a crucial role in testing Proton's most vital services and lead a unified quality strategy for the business unit.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Automate away the waste in the testing of Proton Mail's mobile applications
  • ▹Shape the overall testing architecture and standards, ensuring consistent metrics, quality approach, defect resolution process and CI/CD pipelines
  • ▹Establish a team mindset focused on quality
  • ▹Use technical knowledge to ensure Proton users enjoy a flawless experience
  • ▹Keep engagement high within a fast-paced development process and ongoing deliveries
  • ▹Execute and adjust testing activities accordingly
  • ▹Collaborate closely with Customer Support to identify issues, priorities and user feedback
  • ▹Define and lead a unified quality strategy for the Inbox Business Unit

Requirements

  • ▹10+ years of experience as a QA Engineer and at least 2+ years developing automation for mobile platforms
  • ▹Proficiency in Kotlin or Java, with hands-on experience in UI testing frameworks such as Espresso, UiAutomator and Compose UI Test
  • ▹Proficiency in Swift, with hands-on experience in UI testing frameworks XCUITest and XCTest
  • ▹Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools
  • ▹Strong technical skills and ability to identify issues and solve complex problems
  • ▹Good understanding of the software development life-cycle process
  • ▹Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools and processes
  • ▹Proactiveness and high motivation
